Over the years, BHA have been very active in the commercial sector on projects that have included new build multi-storey office blocks and business units, conversions and refurbishments, and more recently on data centres incorporating 'state of the art' remote data storage. Consultancy services have included steel frame design, foundation design, designs in reinforced concrete, timber and loadbearing masonry, loading assessments on raised / IT floors, structural alterations for plant rooms and other M&E plant and equipment.

Projects in the leisure industry have included hotels, public houses, restaurants, sports halls, squash courts and bingo / snooker halls, involving both new build and refurbishment.

Retail sector work includes motorist centres, car showrooms, DIY centres and shop units, and again involves new build, refurbishment and alterations and extensions to existing premises.
